Singapore International School is located in the midst of nature, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai life. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, it is the only co-educational institution in Mumbai that provides term, monthly, weekly and day boarding facilities. SIS offers a comprehensive programme structured in four levels. From Kindergarten through Grade 6, learning is anchored in the Singaporean curriculum. The Reggio Emilia approach has also been used within the framework of theĀ IB Primary Years Programme.
In Grades 7 and 8, the Pre-IGCSE programme leads to the IGCSE programme of Grades 9 and 10 which culminates in the Cambridge exams at the end of Grade 10. The IGCSE programme at SIS is tailored to prepare students for the two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) which follows in Grades 11 and 12. Academic support includes enrichment, information literacy, programmes for special education needs and gifted students, personal and career counselling. Sports and games and other co-curricular programmes promote individualisation of learning and holistic development of each child
The curriculum of Singapore International School is similar to that of schools in Singapore. It focuses on the student. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a globally acclaimed programme for Grades 11 and 12. Students who complete this programme of study are well prepared for further study at highly selective universities abroad, as well as in India.
Middle Division students receive a Four-year education from Year 7 to Year 10. Middle Division is a transitory stage between elementary and senior grades. Educating the young minds not to think identically, but to foster in the developing minds the importance of critical and creative thinking.
SIS has adopted the inquiry based pedagogical framework of the IBPYP and integrated the inquiry based Singapore curriculum. This unique combination has meant that the student centred learning has been qualitatively enhanced.
