Beliefs and Values

What are the beliefs and values reflected in the IB PYP?
The PYP philosophy has the following key beliefs and values which are in alignment with our school's ethos.
Build independent, life-long learners
The PYP believes that learning is an endless journey and focuses on making students life-long learners. Students are engaged meaningfully to develop thinking, research, communication, social and self management skills to build themselves as independent learners.
Develop the attributes of the Learner Profile
The Learner Profile is the IB mission statement in practice and lists ten important and universal human attributes we want our students to develop and demonstrate. These attributes build the character of the students and promote international mindedness in them. You can read more about the IB Learner Profile.
Promote International Mindedness
A spirit of International mindedness teaches students to celebrate different languages, cultures, histories, literature, food, clothing and religion. It also prepares them to accept different learning styles along with the strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes of others.
It teaches them to have an open mind and follow the IB mission of ' understanding that other people with their differences can also be right.'
