Singapore International School is located in the midst of nature, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai life. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, it is the only co-educational institution in Mumbai that provides term, monthly, weekly and day boarding facilities. SIS offers a comprehensive programme structured in four levels. From Kindergarten through Grade 6, learning is anchored in the Singaporean curriculum. The Reggio Emilia approach has also been used within the framework of the IB Primary Years Programme.

In Grades 7 and 8, the Pre-IGCSE programme leads to the IGCSE programme of Grades 9 and 10 which culminates in the Cambridge exams at the end of Grade 10. The IGCSE programme at SIS is tailored to prepare students for the two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) which follows in Grades 11 and 12. Academic support includes enrichment, information literacy, programmes for special education needs and gifted students, personal and career counselling. Sports and games and other co-curricular programmes promote individualisation of learning and holistic development of each child.

Advantage

IS gives students a very special and unique advantage of studying two rigorous international curricula. From Grade 7 to 10, students prepare for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations, also referred to as the Cambridge exam. The courses offered for IGCSE dovetail neatly with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). In Grade 11 and 12, students who complete these two international programmes get prepared to apply for higher education studies at selective universities, nationally as well as internationally. The Primary Years Programme begins in Kindergarten (for 4 and 5 year old students) and continues through Grade 6. It provides a solid foundation of concepts, skills and attitudes which ensure success in the IGCSE and IBDP programmes. All students have healthy, nutritious meals. They enjoy learning outdoors in beautiful gardens and green spaces. They also get to learn in spacious, well-equipped classrooms with special facilities for art, music, drama and film.
